can make a difference in the Emporia community

Ways to Volunteer

There are many ways you can help, including the following activities:

  • Serve on the Board of Directors
  • Help with construction of a home
  • Be a member of the homeowner selection or family support committee
  • Donate funds (tax deductible) or building materials
  • Provide food on workdays
  • Help with mailings and office work

What do volunteers do?

Construction volunteers work under the supervision of our construction staff to build our homes. Come by yourself or with a group of friends or co-workers.  No experience is required, and you can bring your own tools or use ours!  Wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes. Be prepared to get dirty but have extraordinary fun!
